Restore of Company

Data can get corrupted or lost due to various reasons such as virus attack, hard disk crash and so on. In such a case, if you have taken backup of the data then data can be restored using the backup copy. To restore the data for a company, the Company menu provides the Restore option.

  • Click the Restore Data option. On clicking the Restore option, a Data Restoration window appears asking from where you want to restore the data. You can restore data either from hard disk or any other removable disk or from FTP server. Given here is a screenshot of the Data Restoration window.
  • In the Data Restoration window, there are two options. The options are:
  • Normal Backup Restoration
  • FTP Backup Restoration
  • Normal Backup Restoration

    Select this option if you want to restore data from hard disk or any other removable disk. On selecting this option, a Normal Backup Restoration group gets activated. In this group there is one data field. The data field is:

    Path for Restoration

    Enter the path in the Path for Restoration data field. A Data Restoration message box appears confirming the backup copy found at the path.

    FTP Backup Restoration

    Select this option if you want to restore data from FTP Server. On selecting this option, a FTP Backup Restoration group gets activated. In this group there are various data fields. The data fields are:

  • Server
  • User Name
  • Password
  • Backup Folder
  • Server:

    Specify the name of the server from where the data is to be restored.

    User Name:

    Specify the User name where the backup folder is kept.

    Password:

    Specify the password for the User Name specified in the User Name data field.

    Backup Folder:

    Specify name of the folder where backup is kept.

  • After entering the required details, click the Ok button to start the Restoration process.
  • On successful completion of data restoration, a Data Restoration Successful message box appears.
